The History Of Fargo Made

Fargo Made was founded in June of 2015 by Tucker Richardson and Mikhael Teryohin with the intention of developing simple and affordable solutions to complex problems. The mission of Fargo Made is to be committed to supporting local makers by showcasing their talents.

Fargo Made’s original products, Sven and Ole, are made here in Fargo, ND. Our suppliers and manufacturers are fantastic and have survived overseas manufacturing by investing in automation. Now when we say automation, we’re not referring to robots and customized Rube Goldberg machines. The core automation such as laser cutting and precision press braking. While laser cutting can be considered a relatively young technology, press braking has been around for well over a century and has been upgraded to include precision robotics as the norm.

So that’s it. Three core processes, laser cutting, press braking, a trip through a high volume paint line and you have a Fargo Made product that can compete on a global stage. This is a testimony of the capabilities of our local manufacturers and to how far we have come as a community.

Local Businesses
The Sven and the Ole are fabricated (cut and broken) at Sanders Metal Products Inc. in Fargo and are powder coated by Midwest Coating Inc. in West Fargo. Sanders was founded in 1989 by Todd and Debbie Sanders and are affiliated with a variety of mostly local businesses. Two businesses that Fargo Made is proud to work with.
